Working with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, finance and other business teams, you will translate operational requirements into effective and maintainable digital solutions.\nThis position provides an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant technical experience and an interest in manufacturing, data and digital technology to develop their career within a global engineering environment.\nResponsibilities\nWork with stakeholders to understand operational challenges, define requirements and establish the expected business benefits. \nDevelop and support reports, dashboards and data solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI. \nWrite, test and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform and present data from manufacturing and business systems. \nCreate and support Power Apps, Power Automate workflows and SharePoint-based solutions. \nProvide accessible and reliable reporting tools that enable users to analyse operational performance and make informed decisions. \nSupport and improve existing reports, applications, automated processes and manufacturing-system solutions. \nInvestigate data-quality and system issues, reconciling information across multiple data sources. \nImprove manual or inefficient processes through the appropriate use of data, reporting and automation. \nManage assigned requests according to agreed priorities and communicate progress, risks and dependencies. \nCollaborate with teams across Group Manufacturing and develop a detailed understanding of Renishaw’s manufacturing processes, systems and data. \nKey requirements\nExperience or demonstrable knowledge in data analysis, reporting, systems development or process improvement. \nWorking knowledge of SQL and relational databases. \nExperience with Power BI or another business intelligence and data-visualisation platform. \nStrong analytical and structured problem-solving skills. \nAbility to understand operational requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions. \nGood attention to detail and a methodical approach to data validation, testing and issue investigation. \nStrong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users. \nAbility to organise assigned work, manage competing requirements and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. \nWillingness to learn new technologies, systems and manufacturing processes. \nDesirable requirements\nDegree in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar technical discipline. \nExperience within a manufacturing, engineering or other operational environment. \nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement or lean principles. \nExperience with SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL or SQL Server Reporting Services. \nExperience developing Power BI data models, reports and dashboards, including knowledge of DAX. \nKnowledge of Python for data analysis, transformation or automation. \nExperience with Power Apps, Power Automate or SharePoint. \nKnowledge of ERP, production management or manufacturing systems. \nExperience combining and validating data from multiple systems. \nFamiliarity with Microsoft Fabric or other modern data platforms. \n\nBenefits\nWhen you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
