This role will cover all aspects of material planning and stock control required to support day to day production schedules.\nResponsibilities\nManufacturing System maintenance including locations management, routine stock counting, transit booking, work in progress monitoring and job booking. \nProvide material control support for the assembly management team to ensure departmental plans are met. \nRoutine progressing of parts supply, shortages on jobs, and kitting jobs to assembly cells. \nPerforming order interrogation to ascertain where orders are projecting late and where the root cause is due to material supply. \nProvide logistical support for the movement of goods around manufacturing sites. \nKey requirements\nExcellent level of computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. \nThe ability to communicate effectively at all levels. \nAn analytical approach and meticulous attention to detail. \nAn understanding of resource management systems including MRP or ERP \nDesirable requirements\nPrevious experience with stock control processes. \nEducated to A level (or equivalent) standard, supported by GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science at grades A-C. \nPerson specification\nThe successful applicant will be self-motivated and capable of completing tasks on time to the highest standard.
