This is a key leadership role responsible for planning, scheduling and material control activities that enable business growth, strong customer service and operational performance.\nWorking closely with Assembly Managers and Supply Functions, you will ensure demand, capacity, materials and inventory are aligned through a robust planning process, enabling timely decision-making and efficient delivery.\nResponsibilities\nLead planning and materials management activities across multiple manufacturing sites.\nManage a team of planners and material controllers, providing coaching, support and performance leadership.\nEnsure materials are available to support production plans and customer commitments.\nMonitor demand, capacity and inventory, identifying risks and driving solutions.\nDevelop planning processes, governance and performance measures to improve operational effectiveness.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics and warehousing teams to support business priorities.\nDrive continuous improvement across planning, stock management and material flow.\nKey requirements\nExperience in planning, materials management, supply chain or manufacturing operations within an engineering or high-technology environment.\nStrong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, capacity planning, inventory management and production scheduling.\nExperience leading teams and influencing stakeholders across a complex organisation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into practical business decisions.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nA continuous improvement mindset and a proactive, hands-on approach.\nPerson specification\nWe're seeking a positive and collaborative leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
