You will lead and coordinate between multiple departments and disciplines, playing a key ‘dynamic’ role with high visibility.\nDelivery of process improvements in an agile, fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines. Maintaining and advancing continuous improvement activities (the elimination of waste, reduction of product cost, and the enhancement of process controls).\nThe focal point and liaison of process improvement communication between product division and support services within the manufacturing services division.\nKey requirements\nThe minimum of a degree level of education (2:1 or above) in a relevant technical discipline (manufacturing systems, mechanical, systems, or physics).\nProven success in the support or development of technical projects / processes. You will be expected to develop a high technical understanding of the products and process (including design intent, performance characteristics, and application).\nProven success in managing technical engineering activities (and ideally resources) in a dynamic environment, planning and managing the activities to a successful conclusion.\nDemonstrate practical awareness of cellular assembly process design, development, and support encompassing effective control and mistake-proofing techniques.\nStrong communications and negotiation skills.\nProven and successful application of structured problem-solving techniques with data driven, fact-based decision making.\nDesirable requirements\nTrained to Six sigma green belt level.\nPrevious supervision experience is desirable, but not essential.\nPerson specification\nThe successful candidate will have a strong technical background and will be able to demonstrate success in the support and development of complex, technically challenging assembly processes (demonstrating clear success in delivering to plan in past roles). The candidate must be able to lead and manage a team of technical staff in investigating complex and subtle process problems employing the latest analysis techniques and a sound, structured approach to ensure the correct conclusions are reached. Good communication skills are essential since the role will interface directly with MSD customers with exposure to Director level.
