Our aim is to develop an ambitious, talented, and self-motivated employee into a skilled and highly capable support technician.\nA balanced combination of hands-on engineering and office-based work, this role offers a varied multi-disciplined opportunity working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the team, delivering technical support to product assembly processes, interfacing with engineers and production staff, whilst working in a high precision optical and electro-mechanical environment.\nThis role provides an excellent insight to how a manufacturing organisation interacts with the entire business, giving a great opportunity to appreciate the importance of this role and its tangible output.\nTo enable you to get fully integrated into the position, team, and working environment, you will receive formal and immersive training, and be mentored and supported by our management staff. You will contribute to, and develop in areas such as technical support, effective communication, validation, and real life, time-pressured problem solving.\nPlease be aware that opportunities are available for days regular and double day shifts (week 1 - 6am - 2pm, week 2 - 2pm - 10pm)\nKey requirements\nFour GCSE passes (or equivalent BTEC) grades A-C including 2 STEM subjects\n\nHNC or NVQ3 level qualification (although relevant experience will also be considered)\n\nAccomplished IT skillset\n\nExcellent problem solving and practical skills\n\nGood communication and social skills\n\nBe an engaged, enthusiastic, and motivated individual\n\nDesirable requirements\nSuccessful application of structured problem solving and statistical analysis techniques\n\nAwareness of lean manufacturing tools and techniques and an understanding of production metrics\n\nUnderstanding of metrology, measurement techniques and calibration\n\nWhat you will gain\nA broad and developing range of technical and communication skills\n\nA true experience of being an integral part of a manufacturing environment\n\nBenefits\nWhen you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
