As a Production Support Engineer, you’ll be someone from a technical background, with proven experience in a medium/high volume mechanical/ manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\n\nSupport manufacturing processes and provide process improvements to existing products\nDefine and validate manufacturing process for upgrade products or new products\nSupport mechanical/electrical assembly jigs, fixtures and purpose-built test equipment\nProcess analysis and Product Quality reporting\nCollaborate with other Engineers and Production Staff to drive quality standards and improvements\nCollaborate with Product Designers to ensure the product is designed for assembly \nKey requirements\n\nEducated to at least degree level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent\nMinimum 2 years’ experience in a mid/high volume manufacturing environment\nExperience in use of structured problem-solving techniques\nDesirable requirements\n\nExperience with practical application of Six Sigma tools, including though not exclusive to using Statistical Process Control, Gauge Studies & Process Capability \nExperience in use of Excel and related business intelligence tools for data analysis\nExperience in practical application of Industry 4.0 real time data analytics, including though not exclusive to using Power BI, SQL and VBA/Excel\nExperience in practical application of Lean Projects\nExperience in Design, Validation & Implementation of assembly fixtures\nExperience using and interpreting technical drawings including GD&T’s \nPerson specification\nAn enthusiastic ‘hands-on’ individual, with a technical/mechanical background and good interpersonal/organisation skills is required to succeed in the role.\nBenefits\nWhen you join Renishaw, we’re committing to your future career.
