This customer-facing role provides technical sales support by understanding customer requirements and demonstrating how they can be achieved using Renishaw’s spectroscopy offering.\nResponsibilities\nConducting feasibility studies, analysing customer samples and performing on-site and remote instrument demonstrations to support the Renishaw sales team.\n\nProviding expert guidance to support our existing customers, including on-site training, delivering Raman Revealed training workshops and responding to emails.\n\nWorking as part of a team to deliver marketing activities such as exhibitions, seminars, workshops and webinars.\n\nSupporting the production of written marketing and training materials (notes, posters, manuals, brochures, etc.).\n\nKey requirements\nA degree in a related discipline.\n\nPractical experience using analytical instrumentation, preferably in a customer-facing environment.\n\nKnowledge of Raman spectroscopy.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt style as required for industrial and academic audiences.\n\nConfidence presenting to audiences of different sizes.\n\nThe ability to multi-task, prioritise, and deliver to deadlines.\n\nDiligent, methodical, but efficient work ethic.\n\nA high level of general computer literacy including Microsoft Office software.\n\nA full UK driving licence.\n\nA full, valid passport.\n\nWillingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.\n\nDesirable requirements\nPhD in a related science discipline.\n\nPrevious commercial experience in scientific instrumentation.\n\nPractical experimental skills using Raman spectroscopy instrumentation.\n\nPerson specification\nThe successful candidate will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to use their initiative and remain confident when faced with pressure situations.\n\nThe ability to meet deadlines, good attention to detail, and prioritise a range of tasks.\n\nResourceful, willing to learn new skills, and able to problem solve.\n\nThe ability to plan well is important as this role requires a combination of independent and team-working, often utilising shared resources.\n\nBenefits\nWhen you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
