This role is suitable for an experienced Project Manager or someone with significant relevant experience in a related role. The successful candidate will manage current products maintenance and special product development projects and will support technical teams with planning, progress chasing and document management.\nResponsibilities\nProject Manage activities in the Current Products team\nManage and schedule change\n\nCo-ordinate resources\n\nAgree objectives, create and manage plans\n\nCreate and maintain accurate project documentation\n\nCommunicate across affected divisions and teams\n\nAgree customer requirements for special products\n\nManage special products manufacture and delivery\n\nCoordinating and facilitating design changes through the corporate change process, creating and managing product change notices and product change plans\n\nManaging the impact of design changes by identifying all parts, assemblies and stakeholders that are affected and communicating appropriately\n\nEnsuring data in technical and commercial databases is current and accurate\n\nEnsuring compliance with Renishaw and legal standards\n\nLiaising with other teams in support of Current Products activities\n\nKey requirements\nA Degree or HND in an engineering or scientific discipline, or the ability to demonstrate comparable applied knowledge and expertise\n\n~ 3yrs experience in a Project Management role or related discipline\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to “get on with people” and to work as part of a team\n\nGood technical awareness and understanding of design functions and engineering change processes\n\nGood computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft O365 applications\n\nAn awareness of MRP/ERP and experience of design change control processes\n\nAbility to work without close supervision\n\nExcellent planning skills, able to complete tasks on time effectively prioritise work\n\nA willingness to adapt and create new processes to maximise efficiency of work\n\nDesirable requirements\nExperience with Renishaw products and toolsets\n\nUnderstanding of metrology and optical measurement technology\n\nProblem solving experience\n\nExperience with working with remote team members\n\nKnowledge and understanding of the Syteline CCAR system\n\nUnderstanding of encoder production processes\n\nUnderstanding of technical drawings\n\nPerson specification\nThe successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation and be a team player, with a positive attitude to problem solving. They will be pro-active, a completer, highly organised and flexible in their approach to meet the needs of the day to day project environment.
