Our range of Laser Calibration products set the benchmark in accuracy for thousands of engineering processes and systems ranging from CNC machining to the manufacture of advanced semiconductors and are recognised as the gold standard in the market.\nRenishaw’s Laser Calibration Products Division (LCPD) is made up of engineers, scientists and technicians all collaborating to produce market leading products for sale around the world. Working closely with colleagues in our manufacturing division, we develop manufacturing and assembly processes and software to deliver quality products that in turn, perform reliably and repeatedly to sub-micron accuracies for our customers.\nWe’re currently looking for a Project Manager to work within multi-disciplinary design teams to co-ordinate product development projects within LCPD. As a Project Manager in LCPD, you’ll work within Renishaw’s design change process and new product development process to manage exciting projects through the project lifecycle and report progress to various stakeholders at all levels.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for the management of multi-disciplinary projects, from planning, execution and delivery of new products and technologies to the market through the most optimal methods\n\nManage project cost and resource forecasts\n\nManage design change, adhering to engineering change procedures and processes, work closely with design and manufacturing teams to implement changes into production\n\nManage development of special solutions for key customers, from requirements capture through to production, ensuring specifications and delivery times are achieved\n\nDevelop and maintain accurate project documentation and plans, ensuring adherence to Renishaw and legal standards\n\nRegularly report on project status and risks as agreed with the stakeholders, communicating through written word, conversations, and presentations\n\nTake an active, hands-on role to understand how engineering problems are resolved thoroughly and help support that resolution\n\nKey requirements\nA Degree or HND in an engineering or scientific discipline, or the ability to demonstrate comparable applied knowledge and experience\n\nKnowledge of project planning and project management techniques\n\nTechnical awareness and understanding of design functions and engineering change processes\n\nPrevious experience in a project/risk management role, ideally within a complex engineering environment\n\nAwareness of MRP/ERP systems\n\nDesirable requirements\nUnderstanding of metrology and optical measurement technology\n\nExperience of Design/Process FMEA & risk management\n\nAPMP/PMQ Qualified\n\nExperience of configuration management systems for managing software development and changes (e.g., Microsoft DevOps, Atlassian products, SharePoint etc)\n\nPerson specification\nThe successful applicant will be a self-motivated, organised and dynamic results driven individual, keen to make a significant contribution within our division.
