Working on our MODUS suite of software products, the role exposes the successful candidate to some of our latest cutting-edge technologies.\nThe role will primarily involve working with software development teams to help improve the usability of the products they produce, while empowering the teams to become more self-sufficient as their experience grows.\nThis is a unique opportunity to join a growing team where your inputs will be valued. Working with software systems that include hardware is a challenging and rewarding area to apply your usability design expertise.\nResponsibilities\nFocus on managing the daily demands of iterative incremental UI & UX design within a production environment\nWork closely with the product owners and technical leads to assist with the definition of user stories and to develop initial user interface and interaction designs\nDevelop workflow sketches, low-fidelity mock-ups, storyboards and design alternatives\nWork within, and help to extend, the existing Renishaw usability standards and guidelines\nKey requirements\nExpertise or exposure to the fields of Human Factors, Ergonomics or User Centred Design\nProven ability to design user-centric workflows to complex problems\nProven presentation / public speaking skills\nExposure to software, mechanical or electrical engineering\nProven ability to create storyboards / wireframes / UI prototypes\nDesirable requirements\nSuccessful experience in managing a small team or mentoring others\nExposure to working with an Agile software development team\nPerson specification\nThe successful applicant will have an interest in keeping up to date with interaction design and software / hardware human interface design. They will be self-motivated and driven, capable of managing tasks to completion and to the highest standard.
