The successful applicant will join a team responsible for maintaining and extending existing flagship software being used by leading manufacturers around the world. It would suit a candidate who is looking to expand their knowledge of Software Engineering who also enjoys the challenge of working with physical engineering teams.\nAs part of this role, the applicant will have exposure to Renishaw’s advanced probing systems and have experience working on Metrology software.\nAbout the role\nAs a Software Engineer within the Industrial Metrology group your responsibilities would include:\nBuilding Windows applications for use within the manufacturing industry\nMaintaining, upgrading and extending existing production code\nWorking within an agile team to breakdown stories into manageable tasks\nWriting tests to ensure products that are produced are of suitable quality\nKey requirements\nOur ideal applicant would have a number of the following key skills and experience:\nEducated to at least degree level in a technical subject; OR the ability to demonstrate comparable applied knowledge and expertise to an equivalent level\nKnowledge and experience of:\nLegacy and modern C++\nLegacy UI frameworks\nSQL databases\nComputational geometry and 3D maths\nUsing AI for safe and efficient code development\nWilling to work within a team to complete tasks\nDesire to continue to learn and improve through continuous improvement\nWilling to travel with a full and valid passport and driving licence\nBenefits\nWhen you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
