This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative technology environment while working with large-scale systems and modern database tools.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPerform day-to-day database administration, including designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining MySQL databases.\nInstall, maintain, and configure MySQL database architecture and related systems.\nMonitor database performance, security, integrity, and availability.\nManage database access and privileges to help ensure company information is stored securely.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery processes.\nMonitor server resource usage and troubleshoot performance or capacity concerns.\nAnalyze and optimize queries, indexes, configurations, and database processes.\nTest new versions and features of MySQL and plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.\nConfigure and maintain database replication.\nAutomate routine database administration and maintenance tasks.\nIdentify current and future database resource and capacity requirements.\nIncorporate the long-term needs of database operations and administration into the organization’s overall systems planning.\nCollaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot database-related issues and support the reliable performance of LCS applications.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nStrong proficiency in MySQL database administration and management.\nStrong Linux knowledge and experience.\nExperience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing database performance.\nProficiency in writing and optimizing SQL statements.\nUnderstanding of database security, backup, recovery, and availability practices.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.\nNice to Have\nKnowledge of MySQL features, architecture, and administration best practices.\nExperience configuring and maintaining MySQL replication.\nExperience using Percona products and tools.\nExperience planning database capacity and resource requirements based on high-level specifications.\nExperience with Ansible or other configuration-management tools.\nExperience scripting in Python.\nExperience automating routine database administration tasks.\nExperience planning and completing MySQL upgrades or migrations.\nBenefits\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\nWellness program with rewards for healthy activities\n401(k) with employer match\nProfit sharing\n10 paid company holidays\nPaid time off\nLife insurance\nPaid medical leave/disability insurance\nContemporary office building\nWooded campus with nature trail\nOn-site fitness center\nLCS Work Perks program\nOne of Cincinnati’s Top Workplaces\nHybrid work schedule available\nAbout LCS\nLondon Computer Systems (LCS), based in Cincinnati, Ohio, provides businesses with critical software and technology solutions.
