Strategic Plans, budgets, financial evaluation 1.1 Liaison with the Senior Management to develop, analyse and\nsupport the financial business plan proposals, associated key\nperformance indicators, working capital and capital\nexpenditure plan for the division annual budget in accordance\nwith corporate guidelines and divisional growth objective.\n1.2 Develop and prepare the annual budgets in accordance to the\nframework of the corporate budget.\n1.3 Evaluate and prepare financial justification and impact for any\nmajor investments including capital expenditure, major\njobs/works, new/replacement products/services proposals.\n1.4 Participate and support assigned corporate projects.\n2. Trading results analysis, KPIs and forecastingWith the objective of identifying opportunities for\nimprovement in business management, enhanced trading\nperformance, cost reduction and precision in results\nforecasting.\n2.1 Prepare and analyse the monthly and quarterly financial\ntrading results against budget, prior year and forecast targets\nfor the areas/branches.\n2.2 Prepare and analyse monthly KPIs, management statistics and\ntrend data for the areas/branches.\n2.3 Coordinate monthly re-forecasting of trading projections for\nthe area/branches providing support in order to improve the\nprecision and reliability of forecasts.\n2.4 Participate with senior management in monthly country review\nmeetings.\n3. Working Capital\n3.1 Proactively support and promote all initiatives on reductions\nof branch stocks, materials and equipment for rental lines.\n3.2 Monitor the monthly trends of inventories and adoption of\ninventory control measures. Initiates corrective action where\nthere is an opportunity for improved control or inventory\nreductions.\n4. Fixed Asset Management\n4.1 Prepare revised monthly capex spend forecast for\nconsolidation into company balance sheet and cash flow.\n4.2 Undertake periodic rotational reviews of asset registers to\nscrutinize for potential obsolete items.\n5. Procedures, Controls and Compliance\n5.1 The Finance Manager has a direct responsibility to comply\nwith the Company policy and procedures, maintain control\nprocedures intact, observe and apply corporate governance,\nand to adopt the Group Corporate Social Responsibility\nmandates.\n5.2 Undertake when required program of branch/site visits to\nperform controls and compliance reviews and to support the\nbranches with training guidance.\n5.3 Broadly monitor all activities throughout the division to\nsatisfy on a “reasonableness test basis” that there are no\napparent material breaches of responsibility or control which\nwill adversely affect the reported results or future\nperformance of the division.\n5.4 Draw minor breaches requiring corrective action to the\nattention of the respective managers with a request for\ncorrective action and follow through to ensure the required\naction takes place.\n5.5 Promptly advise the Managing Director/Finance Director of\nany material breaches identified (or suspected material\nbreaches) and await their instruction on the required course\nof action.\n5.6 Recommend changes to procedures and controls in order to\nimprove efficiencies, remedy a control weakness, or enhance\nbusiness performance.\n5.7 Follow through on all non-conformance/weakness identified\nin Internal Audit reports to ensure remedial action is\ncompleted and correct ongoing procedures adopted.\n6. Systems, Training and Support\n6.1 Participate and liaison with the Finance Director and as\nnecessary with the Central IT / Other Department on systems\ndevelopment project planning / training / implementation for\nthe country.\n6.2 Prepare and deliver presentations / training modules to the\nManaging Director and Senior Managers and functional staff\nas required.\n6.3 Provide proactive support for the company missions/\nobjectives, the management and staff to assist them in the\nefficient performance of their responsibilities.\n7. Operations\n7.1 To ensure that regular formal reviews are held for staff in the\nteam. Annual appraisals must be completed particularly for\nyour direct reports, with more than six months working\nexperience.\n7.2 Manages and supervises direct line staff on a day to day basis,\nwhere applicable.\n7.3 Any other duties as needed.\n8. Collection Management\n8.1 Oversee the credit management to customers\n8.2 Oversee achievement of monthly collection and DSO Budget\nPrerequisites:\nFinance Manager for a medium size or SME companies\nMNC experience\nExperienced finance professional from the Services Sector\nUniversity degree /CPA\nQualification in finance / accounting with track record of\ndelivering value to the business beyond audited accounts\nLeadership of small team\nFP&A\nWorking capital management, particularly receivables\nInvestment analysis\nAudit experience (strongly preferred) •M&A (added advantage) Work Experience •Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in finance & accounting roles preferably for a multi-national company •Demonstrated leadership & communication skills: 5 years in finance management positions in a matrix organisation and at ease dealing with leaders in other disciplines •Expertise in several finance disciplines with FP&A a must have •Strong financial
