You will work closely with systems, payload, propulsion, AIT and supplier teams to define and deliver robust power solutions for demanding space missions.\nIt's an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a real impact, to reach our goal of pushing the boundaries of space data transfer. \nThis job can be based in our headquarter in Helsinki, Finland or Bengaluru, India.\nResponsibilities\nAnalyse mission requirements and define power needs across all mission phases, including payload and propulsion operational modes.\n\nDefine the Power Subsystem architecture based on mission analysis and system-level requirements.\n\nDevelop and maintain requirements and specifications for the Power Subsystem, PCDU, Battery Unit, Solar Arrays and SADA.\n\nWork closely with suppliers and internal engineering teams to ensure effective subsystem development and integration.\n\nCoordinate technical interactions with Battery, Solar Array, PCDU and SADA providers.\n\nPrepare and review technical documentation based on system architecture, analysis and unit-level specifications.\n\nLead and support Power Subsystem AIT activities in line with the defined architecture.\n\nDefine and support the development and acceptance of EGSE for Power Subsystem AIT.\n\nContribute to technical reviews, design decisions and change activities throughout the development lifecycle.\n\nSkills and Requirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in power systems engineering.\n\nSignificant professional experience in the GEO space industry, preferably working on large satellite platforms.\n\nStrong understanding of the full lifecycle of satellite power systems, from requirements and architecture through design, development, verification and AIT.\n\nStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse technical data, derive conclusions and make sound engineering decisions.\n\nExperience reviewing, managing and approving technical documentation, requirements and engineering changes.\n\nComfortable working cross-functionally with systems, payload, propulsion, AIT and other engineering teams.\n\nExperience working with external suppliers, vendors and consortium partners.\n\nClear and effective technical communication and documentation skills in English, both written and spoken.\n\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary engineering team.\n\nWhat does ReOrbit do?\nReOrbit builds the foundation for the next generation of space applications by transforming satellites into truly intelligent, interconnected platforms, defined by software.
