The engineer will own a product and complete all the engineering tasks required to take a product from concept to launch. They will possess substantial expertise in design and manufacturing and demonstrate a strong knowledge of engineering processes. \nEssential Functions: \nLead assigned projects to completion with full ownership and an appropriate amount of oversight. \nCreate detailed CAD models in SolidWorks including part and assembly level documentation. \nCollaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Manager on defining customer requirements. \nSchedule and lead effective meetings with cross functional teams. \nAbility to set and achieve milestones and deadlines independently. \nAbility to translate market requirements into engineering requirements. \nPerform tolerance analysis on critical-to-function design elements. \nAbility to identify strength critical areas and perform appropriate analysis (hand calculations, FEA, etc.) \nCollaborate with Asia manufacturing partners to communicate design intent and quality expectations. Work with Engineering Managers and senior engineers to balance manufacturing feedback with market requirements and design intent. \nComplete invention disclosure forms for intellectual property review with support. \nWillingness to work hands-on with physical prototypes. Bonus, if you have the machine shop capabilities. \nWilling to meet early or late (~weekly) with Asia counterparts.
