This position is responsible for start-up of equipment, preventive maintenance, equipment changeovers, equipment/building repairs, basic/routine facility maintenance while following all safety measures. Assist manager and oversee the maintenance team. Lead projects, schedule repairs and maintenance to adhere to manufacturing schedule. Help with scheduling including time and labor. Update and create drawings or charts to adhere and contribute to matrix.Manage and lead maintenance team during routine PMs, projects, new roll outs or procedures.\nPerform routine and emergency maintenance on production utility and facility equipment.\nDiagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, test and adjust and put back in safe operational conditions.\nPerform routine rounds to monitor equipment and facilities to detect faulty operations or equipment.\nPerform simple machinist duties and set-up machinery/equipment according to specifications and/or directions.\nPerform maintenance skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, calibrations, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.\nPerform hazardous waste management throughout facility.\nRead and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, work orders to perform service while keeping logs.\nAssemble new or modified components, assemblies, and systems.\nOversee projects, repairs or service done by outside vendors/contractors.\nComply with safety regulations.\nSupport cross functional teams on projects, and aid as required.\nProvide SME support on critical spare parts assessments.\nSupport Shutdowns when needed\nMaintain safe and clean work environment and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.\nEstablish and maintain effective relationships with other employees.\nAssume responsibility for work accomplished on schedule.\nEscalate and communicate downtime to system and area owners.\nDrive Continuous Improvement on matters directly related to:Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/Work Instructions\nGood Manufacturing Practices\nSafety\nMachine operations\n\nAbility to redline SOPs and develop Equipment Descriptions and Operations procedures\nPerform and assist with other duties as needed by Supervisor/Manager.\nHas complete ownership of entire site wellbeing (utilities, general work areas, customer needs, etc.)\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent completion of a craft apprenticeship required.\n7 plus years of advanced mechanical, steam generator, electrical, plumbing, building, HVAC system repair or related experience required.\nExperience in industrial manufacturing with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and PLC/electronically controlled equipment and CAD is required.\nManagement skills and leadership required.\nKnowledge of 5S/6S techniques and Lean Manufacturing Skills desired.\nAbility to be part of an on-call rotation. \nAbility to read and follow P&IDs\nMust be able to obtain a minimum Massachusetts Level 1 Wastewater Operators License (required within first year of employment)\nPhysical Requirements:\nRegularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.\nFrequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nMust be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception.\nOur mission is to inspire advances in bioprocessing as a trusted partner in the production of biologic drugs that improve human health worldwide.
