As Beazley Security, these values will continue to thrive, with an extra emphasis on expansion of our capabilities and capacity in helping solve unique client challenges.\n\nWe are seeking a hands-on, tech-savvy Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Controller, this role will manage and develop a small accounting team, strengthen internal controls, drive process improvements, and help scale the finance function through automation and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive, high-ownership mindset and a passion for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and support company growth.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead accounting operations and financial reporting, including GL, AP, and the month-end close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and US GAAP compliance.\n\nCoach and inspire team members, manage and mentor accounting team consisting of one senior accountant and two accountants, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.\n\nDrive and continuously streamline the month-end close process, proactively identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness.\n\nEstablish and enforce internal controls for the month-end close by building robust approval workflows and ensuring comprehensive documentation.\n\nOversee balance sheet reconciliations, taking ownership of reviewing current balances and resolving outstanding historical items.\n\nEvaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems, AI-enabled tools, and workflows to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and build a scalable finance function.\n\nPartner cross-functionally across the organization, providing timely and collaborative support to business partners.\n\nAct as a strategic thought partner to the Controller to evaluate, implement, and scale AI-enabled solutions and workflow automation that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the finance organization.\n\nPerform detailed balance sheet and P&L variance analyses, proactively investigating unexpected trends and recommending corrective actions.\n\nExecute special projects and ad-hoc initiatives as needed.\n\nQualifications:\n\n5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally blending public accounting with startup environment.\n\nCPA license is highly preferred.\n\nDeep working knowledge of US GAAP and strong foundational accounting principles.\n\nStrong systems intuition with a proven track record of evaluating, implementing, or redesigning modern accounting tech stacks.\n\nAn operational, high-ownership mindset.\n\nSomeone who is pragmatic, solution-oriented, and thrives working autonomously.\n\nExceptional people leadership skills and an enthusiastic, high-energy approach to collaborating with and inspiring teammates.\n\nFamiliarity with our tech stack: NetSuite, Bill.com, Scoro, is a strong plus.\n\nBeazley Security offers:\n\nCompetitive salary and bonus.\n\nFlexible working arrangements. \n\nGenerous leave policies including 3 months paid parental.\n\n100% of employee-only insurance premiums covered (healthcare, dental and vision).\n\nUp to 5% matched 401k contribution.\n\nOpportunities for career advancement and ongoing training.\n\nParticipation in industry conferences and events. \n\nBeazley Security is an equal opportunity employer.
