Post of Associate Information Security Engineer
Founded in 2006, the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (Sri Lanka CERT) is Sri Lanka’s
National CERT and serves under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital Economy.
Sri Lanka CERT is the single trusted source of advice about the latest threats and vulnerabilities affecting computer systems and networks, and a source of expertise to assist the nation and member organizations, in responding to and recovering from Cyber-attacks.
Sri Lanka CERT a vacancy for the position of Associate Information Security Engineer (02 positions) as follows.
Associate Information Security Engineer - Network Security (2 positions)
Job Responsibilities
The Information Security Engineer should have experience with the following:
Assist in monitoring network security systems and responding to security incidents.
Conduct initial analysis of security alerts and reports.
Support the implementation and maintenance of security measures and controls.
Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
Document and track security incidents and remediation efforts.
Help maintain and update network security policies and procedures.
Stay updated with the latest cyber-security trends and threats.
Conduct trainings and awareness sessions of cyber security and participate for communication activities.
Conduct procurements to procure IT products and systems related to cyber-security.
Implement national cyber-security projects or activities assigned by relevant Director or the CEO in line with the cyber-security strategy and action plans.
Educational, Professional Qualifications and Experience Requirement
A Bachelor’s Degree (SLQF 5 or 6) in Information Security, Cyber-Security, Computer Science,
Information Technology or any other field relevant to the post, obtained from a local or foreign university, recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) in Sri Lanka.
WITH
One (01) year or above industry experience in the field of information and Cyber security or relevant within a reputed private sector cyber-security service provider, public corporation, statutory board, fully government owned company, or a reputed commercial establishment, after obtaining the first Degree.
Desired - Cyber-security Certification, preferably CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security or any other equivalent security certification relevant to the post, recognized by Sri Lanka CERT will be added advantage. Such certifications must be maintained in active status.
Other Skills/Abilities required;
Knowledge on the latest theories, standards, and practices on cyber security.
Skills in using Application Security, Kali Linux tools, Burp Suite, Mobile Application tools.
Writing and speaking in English language
Skills in presentations, communication, teamwork
Ability to perform in a team environment.
Age should be not less than 20 years and not more than 30 years.
Salary will be based on current industry standards and includes travel allowance.
