Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nCollaborate with OEM, STC Holders, DER teams to diagnose structural issues and recommend repair solutions that comply regulatory standards.\nAnalyze and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support aircraft modifications, repairs, and upgrades\nDevelop work cards specific to structural inspections, repairs, modifications and continued airworthiness\nWorks with Maintenance Teams to ensure repair documents are understood and repairs are accomplished to authorized published instructions\nEnsures all structural repairs are accurately tracked for later analysis, e.g., Aging Aircraft\nProvide technical expertise during aircraft inspections, maintenance checks and incident investigations related to structural integrity\nWorks with suppliers and manufactures to evaluate materials, components and technologies for structural applications\nTechnical liaison for OEM and suppliers to ensure timely and ongoing support\nPrepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory submissions and internal records\nStay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in structural engineering to improve processes\nFosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nFAA Mechanic Certificate with a rating of Airframe & Powerplant or foreign equivalent \nAssociate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) in Aviation (any discipline) or a related technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. \nAt least 3 years of experience in related engineering and/or aircraft maintenance\nRequires a thorough understanding and working knowledge of all appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements of 14 CFR. (i.e., Parts 1, 21, 23, 25, 43, 45, 47, 65, 91, and 121) and manuals required by 14 CFR Parts 121 and 133\nPREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Aviation (any discipline)\nSix Sigma or Lean Processes, certificate\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nREASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
