Prepares and analyses budget vs. actuals on a monthly basis. Researches and resolves variances and discrepancies.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Meets with cost center owners and presents budgets to executive management team.\nAssists in the preparation of quarterly forecasts. Presents reports to management summarizing expenses and assists in adjusting the forecast based on findings.\nPrepares various financial reports on an on-going basis, such as monthly budget vs. actual comparisons; formulates monthly financial review documents, monthly cost center reports, etc.\nAnalyzes monthly results of all expenses and expenditures including labor costs, overtime, etc. Ensures proper coding of expenses with the general ledger. Researches and resolves any discrepancies or variances. Attends meetings with respective cost center owners and VPs.\nAssists in the preparation of reports for the Board of Directors.\nPerforms other duties, analyses, reports, and presentations as assigned.\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.\nBachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. \nAt least 1 year of related experience. \nAdvanced Microsoft Office skills. Strong analytical skills.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nAt least 3 years financial reporting experience.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nREASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nDECISION MAKING\nMakes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies.
