Other duties may be assigned to this position as needed.\nSupervises Materials Specialists and Leads. Coordinates all stockroom activity. \nCoordinates all aspects of base inventory operations including, but not limited to, timely and accurate shipping, receiving, warehouse transfers, parts issues, returns to inventory. Insures that associated computer transactions are performed in a timely and accurate manner.\nInsures proper storage, identification and segregation of parts. Oversees shelf life program and insures that shelf life is not exceeded.\nEnforces stockroom security, cleanliness and organization. Insures the highest level of inventory integrity is maintained. Insures that Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) awareness is maintained to prevent any introduction of a SUP component to base materials inventory.\nOversees inventory-related projects and insures timely completion of assigned tasks.\nEnsures compliance with hazardous materials/dangerous goods regulations. Completes and maintain training in safety, HAZMAT, parts systems, SITA airport access for vehicles, etc.\nOversees the shipping functions in accordance with company and regulatory shipping standards.\nScreens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports. Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff. \nPerforms other duties as assigned or required.\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. At least two years related experience.\nMust possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.\nMust be able to operate forklifts and other machinery.\nMust be able to pass and remain current on HAZMAT Dangerous Goods Handling course.\nPossess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Word.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nPrevious experience in aviation or supply chain preferred. Previous lead or supervisory experience.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.\nREASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\nDECISION MAKING \nMakes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.
