You will work closely with a range of global stakeholders, including the Head of Group Finance, Group CFO, leaders of RES’ business units (Development, Construction, Services and Digital Solutions) and the Group Accounting and Treasury teams.\nKey responsibilities:\nPlay a core role in the delivery of monthly reporting to the Group Executive on the company’s financial performance, including PBT forecast, risks and opportunities, and liquidity; plus quarterly reporting to shareholders on strategically important topics\nPerform thorough and accurate financial analysis on complex datasets, and derive strategic recommendations to the business\nAct as a strategic finance partner to one or more of the business units, building strong relationships and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and drive performance\nPlay a core role in the annual strategy, business plan and budget process, working with the business units to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives \nLead discrete strategic finance projects with cross-functional teams, such as evaluation of investment strategy or NPV analysis for cost-saving initiatives, and present findings to senior leaders\nDrive improvements in P&L and cash forecasting tools\nSupport the establishment of new, optimised FP&A processes following the global ERP implementation\nProvide guidance and support to junior colleagues \nBring a proactive, problem-solving mindset to identify risks and opportunities early and facilitate data-driven decisions\nKnowledge\nComprehensive understanding of financial statements and their interdependencies\nUnderstanding of liquidity and working capital\nKnowledge of key business drivers in development, construction and/or operations in the renewable energy industry is highly desirable\nSkills\nStrong financial analysis skills, including interrogation of financial statements and financial models\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills - able to translate financial data into meaningful insights for non-financial audiences\nProject management skills\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel\nExperience & Qualifications\nExperience in the renewable energy industry is highly desirable\nFP&A experience in a complex international business is desirable\nQualifications\nUniversity degree in a numerate or business subject, or equivalent industry experience\nCFA or other relevant finance qualifications are beneficial but not a requirement\nAt RES we celebrate difference as we know it makes our company a great place to work.
