Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly\nClient Relationship Management Accountabilities:\nProvides excellence in the management and delivery of the project, in-line with the client’s expectations.\nPlanning:\nReports information about site activities including routing, fence crossings, traffic flow, water flow, moving farm animals, and hazards to the Superintendent. \nUtilizes and direct staff for daily construction activities. \nIdentifies potential workflow and staffing issues.\nEvaluates on-site assessment prior to commencing work to ensure that the job is ready and address any concerns.\nTranslates general work requirements into a prioritized work plan and communicates it to the crew.\nLeadership:\nDirects, guides, and coaches Craft to ensure activities on site are understood and following established processes through quality checks.\nFollows processes for systems and communication lines on site and ensure implementation is consistent.\nAssists with managing Craft personnel.\nFosters a culture of continuous improvement.\nEnsures that project is utilizing Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Managements Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and technical procedures.\nIdentifies and mitigates potential employee relations issues.\nAssigns tasks and oversees the execution of the work including quality and production.Inspects and measures completed work.\nPrepares records and reports.\nRecognizes, addresses, and resolves issues among crew members.\nQA/QC:\nManages quality control program to ensure processes are implemented according to the plan and are consistent.\nMaintains work standards and outlines behavioral expectations to ensure morale, productivity, and safety.\nEnvironment:\nProvides the required documents, drawings and other forms to active projects for monitoring and maintaining the EMS.\nEnsures all required permits are received before commencing work.\nEnsures training is provided and certifications are maintained on field staff to comply with EMS requirements.\nKnowledge Skills and Abilities:\nAdvanced level of knowledge in:\nSafety and OSHA requirements\nRelationship building\nInterpersonal skills\nInterpretation of a project schedule\nPlanning and task direction\nAdaptability to environment\nWorking in fast paced environment\nInterpretation of scopes of work\nProject permits\nLeadership\nTeam building\nMentor and facilitator\nDecision making\nUnderstanding environmental concepts including permit requirements\nInterpreting state rules and regulations\nContract management\nSub-contractor and vendor and materials management\nConstruction drawing review\nDrawing Quantity Takeoff\nCommunications, leading meetings, engaging teams, public speaking, presentations\nReporting\nWriting skills\nIntermediate level of knowledge in:Project Management\nCreating logical and resource-loaded project schedules\nBudget Analysis and controls\nEstimating work efforts\nChange orders\nQA/QC processes\nDevelopment of processes and procedures\nContinuous Improvement such as Lean, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management\nProject Finance\nMicrosoft Office suite ( Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Visio)\nJob Costing or accounting software\n\nBasic level of knowledge in:\nEngineering Management\nScheduling software (MS Project, Primavera 6)\nQualifications:\nAt least 3 years experience working in a construction environment.\nHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent.\nPhysical requirements and environment:\nThe work environment and physical demands characteristics are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
