If you're a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future.\nThis position is represented by the OPEIU union and subject to the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement.\nThis position has an end date of 30 September 2027.\nJob Overview: The My New School (MNS) Coordinator coordinates educational and enrichment programming, implementation, and reporting for the IRC’s My New Schol After School and Summer Camp Programs. The MNS Coordinator works with the Youth team and potential interns, and volunteers. The Coordinator works with the team to ensure the program integrates best practices for teaching and tutoring students at schools, as well as social-emotional learning principles, and to ensure that youth education goals and objectives are accomplished using a holistic, collaborative approach, in partnership with school staff, caregivers, and youth themselves. The Coordinator manages and tracks grant goals and outcomes for multiple grants. This position reports to the Youth Supervisor.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\nManage implementation and program delivery for the IRC After School Program and Summer Camp at schools and potential school sites\n\nManage participant recruitment, retention, attendance, and family engagement\n\nManage program files and databases (enrollment, attendance, outcomes monitoring); maintain accurate and complete records\n\nCollaborate with Program Supervisor to implement M&E tools and ensure program monitoring & evaluation activities are carried out, report on program progress and achievements\n\nLead volunteers and interns to support program administration and implementation for After school and Summer Camp programs.\n\nLead grant management, outcomes tracking, monitoring and evaluation, compliance, and funder reporting, including RSIG-DHS services, billing, and monitoring.\n\nPlan and coordinate caregiver and teacher conferences\n\nConduct teacher observations and coaching using the IRC Framework for Effective Teaching\n\nCo-lead and plan weekly workshops and lessons\n\nPrepare internal and external reports for programs supervised\n\nCollaborate with external partners, serving as a liaison between organizations\n\nEnsure program data is consistently collected and entered in relevant databases\n\nLead recruitment and supervision of program volunteers and interns Attend Youth Education Team meetings and complete administrative duties, including but not limited to reporting, timesheets, and expense reports.\n\nParticipate in program meetings and staff development as an engaged team member.\n\nComply with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nJob Requirements:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling or the equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.\nWork Experience:\nA minimum of 5 years teaching English Language Learners, required. Teaching certification and experience in the public school system desirable\n\nResponsive classrooms and/or restorative justice trained, highly desirable\n\nExperience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations, highly desirable\n\nDemonstrated Skills & Competencies:\nProven success planning and delivering creative and engaging curricula for beginners to intermediate ELLs\n\nCultural competency training experience, desirable\n\nA belief in the ability of all youth to reach their education, career, and personal goals\n\nDemonstrated competency in program planning and implementation skills, including the ability to manage large groups of students and the ability to think creatively and strategically\n\nInitiative, creativity, and ability to complete projects independently\n\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.\n\nOrganized, responsible, and flexible: able to maintain responsibility for multiple tasks in the context of a diverse, fast-paced work environment and maintain composure under pressure\n\nFluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired (such as: Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Arabic, French, Haitian-Creole).\n\nWorking Environment :\nA combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.\n\nOccasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%.\n\nMay require occasional weekend and/or evening work.\n\nCompensation: ($27.49/hr - $28.93/hr).
