We are unable to hire candidates residing in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.\nWhat you will do\nDesign, build, and maintain pipelines that ingest data from applications, APIs, databases, and external partners.\nDevelop data models that make claims and operational data accessible, consistent, and useful for analytics and downstream applications.\nBuild automated tests, monitoring, and alerts to catch data quality issues and pipeline failures early.\nPartner with business and technical teams to define requirements, clarify data definitions, and deliver trusted datasets.\nImprove pipeline and query performance while managing infrastructure costs.\nOwn production workflows, including troubleshooting, backfills, and recovery from upstream changes.\nApply sound engineering practices through version control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD.\nDocument data sources, transformations, and dependencies, and help protect sensitive information through appropriate access controls\nQualifications\n6+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production data pipelines and platforms, with demonstrated ownership of architecture, reliability, and technical decisions.\nStrong SQL and Python skills, including experience writing readable, tested, and maintainable code.\nExperience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.\nA solid understanding of data modeling, including dimensional models, incremental processing, and changing source data.\nExperience with transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or comparable technologies.\nA track record of improving data reliability through testing, monitoring, and thoughtful system design.\nComfort working with APIs, relational databases, and structured or semi-structured data.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to colleagues with different backgrounds.\nA practical approach to problem-solving, a willingness to learn, and comfort taking ownership as priorities evolve.\nExperience with insurance or claims data, sensitive information, or event-driven systems is a plus.\nBenefits\nGenerous health-insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, & dental\n401(k) retirement plan with employer matching\nCompetitive PTO policy - we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized!\nGenerous family leave policy after 8 months of continuous work\nWork from anywhere to facilitate your work life balance\nApple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment you may want.
