and delivery of high-quality connected products that support Resideo’s security and smart-building portfolio.\n\nWork with security video products and explore how they interact with security panels, thermostats, water-leak detectors, and other connected devices.\n\nBreak down requirements into manageable development tasks and keep Jira updated with progress, risks, and outcomes.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and other team meetings.\n\nApply software engineering practices such as test-driven development, version control, continuous integration, and clear technical documentation.\n\nCollaborate with firmware, cloud, product, and quality teams to help deliver secure, reliable, and commercially successful products.\n\nBuild knowledge of embedded Linux, image processing, computer vision, connected-device platforms, and developer-driven AI workflows.\n\nContribute to a supportive, inclusive, and technically strong team by asking questions, sharing knowledge, and offering help to others.\n\nDevelop technical skills through online research, training, technical communities, forums, webinars, and guidance from experienced colleagues.\n\nTake part in special projects and other assignments that support Resideo’s strategic goals.\n\nRepresent Resideo professionally and contribute to products that help customers protect what matters most.\n\nYOU MUST HAVE:\n1+ years of academic or professional experience programming (preferable C/C++ or OO language)\n\n1+ years of academic or professional experience in Linux operating system environments\n\n1+ years of academic or professional experience working in a collaborative engineering team\n\nWE VALUE:\nAn interest in cutting-edge, developer-driven AI workflows and how AI can improve engineering productivity and product capabilities.\n\nThe ability to understand high-level requirements and break them down into clear, manageable tasks.\n\nFamiliarity with test-driven development and a commitment to building reliable, maintainable software.\n\nAcademic, project, or practical experience with embedded Linux, firmware development, or connected devices.\n\nAn interest in image processing, computer vision, and video-based product features.\n\nCuriosity about how security cameras can work with other products, including security panels, thermostats, water-leak detectors, and related connected devices.\n\nCollaboration, open communication, and a willingness to learn from, share with, and support other developers.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills, a natural interest in technology, and attention to detail.\n\nFamiliarity with Git and GitHub Actions.\n\nExposure to Jira, Confluence, or similar tools used to plan, document,
