In this high-impact role, you will act as Resideo’ s subject matter expert for SMT, helping to build and strengthen our SMT capability and playing a key role in the delivery of our New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role where you will take ownership of key manufacturing processes across SMT, THT and assembly, ensuring our production lines operate safely, efficiently and consistently while achieving the required quality and productivity standards.\nWorking closely with Production, Quality, R&D, Test & Automation, Maintenance and other engineering teams, you will help develop and optimise our SMT processes, introduce new manufacturing capabilities, resolve complex technical and quality issues, and drive continuous improvement.\nJOB DUTIES:\nProvide technical and engineering support for assigned Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production areas, assembly lines and manufacturing cells\nEnsure the efficient, stable and continuous operation of SMT processes used in electronics manufacturing\nDefine, optimise and continuously monitor key SMT processes, including solder paste printing, component placement and reflow soldering\nDefine and maintain Through-Hole Technology (THT) manufacturing processes\nSupport the introduction, installation and ramp-up of new SMT production lines and manual assembly lines\nCreate, maintain and continuously improve production process documentation, including Process Maps, FMEAs and Work Instructions\nSupport the creation, implementation and maintenance of Control Plans (CP)\nManage production process changes from technical assessment and approval through to implementation and follow-up\nMaintain and improve production line and process control systems\nWork closely with Quality and Production teams to reduce defects identified through AOI, ICT and FCT inspection and testing processes\nLead and support root cause analysis for production non-conformities, identifying corrective actions and supporting their implementation\nAnalyse manufacturing data and prepare reports using production line control systems and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) data\nIdentify and support continuous improvement, productivity, quality and process optimisation projects across assigned production areas\nProvide technical support during significant machine breakdowns, including root cause analysis and coordination of corrective or repair activities\nSupport the technical investigation and analysis of customer complaints related to manufacturing processes\nSupport the development and execution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, including contributing to spare-parts requirements\nUse manufacturing performance, quality and process data to identify opportunities for improved reliability, efficiency and production performance\nYOU MUST HAVE:\nKnowledge of electronics and printed circuit boards (PCBs), with experience of electronic manufacturing processes such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Technology (THT) \nProven experience in a Process, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering role (or
