This role combines FCC and ISED certification testing, RF and EMC pre-compliance testing, laboratory quality system support, and wireless regulatory compliance activities. The successful candidate will serve as a key technical resource supporting the laboratory's accreditation and certification programs, helping ensure continued compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements while supporting product development, regulatory compliance, and certification activities across Resideo's global product portfolio.\nThis position is responsible for supporting ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory operations, FCC and ISED Canada recognized testing programs, and the UL Client Test Data Program (CTDP). The individual will help maintain laboratory quality systems, support accreditation readiness activities, and perform wireless certification and pre-compliance testing for products across Resideo's lines of businesses, including Air & Comfort, Water, Combustion, Life Safety, and Security. The role will be especially important in supporting upcoming new product introduction (NPI) programs and expanding internal compliance testing capabilities.\nJOB DUTIES:\nLaboratory Operations & Quality Systems\nSupport operation of the Golden Valley Wireless & EMC Compliance Laboratory.\nMaintain and continuously improve the laboratory's ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System.\nSupport accreditation readiness activities and ongoing compliance with laboratory accreditation requirements.\nAssist with maintenance of laboratory procedures, work instructions, quality records, and technical documentation.\nManage equipment calibration, maintenance, traceability, and laboratory records.\nSupport internal audits, corrective actions, management reviews, and continuous improvement activities.\nAssist with preparation for accreditation assessments, surveillance audits, and certification program reviews.\nInterface with accreditation bodies, certification organizations, auditors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders as required.\nIdentify opportunities to expand laboratory testing capabilities and certification program scopes in partnership with Regulatory and Engineering teams.\nWireless Certification, EMC Testing & Regulatory Support\nIndependently perform FCC and ISED Canada certification testing for wireless products.\nConduct wireless pre-compliance evaluations to validate hardware, antenna, and radio-frequency designs prior to formal certification testing.\nPartner with product development teams to identify compliance risks early, assess product readiness, and provide technical recommendations that improve the likelihood of first-pass certification success.\nPerform EMC emissions and immunity testing to support both development and certification activities.\nDevelop and execute wireless certification and pre-compliance test plans based on applicable regulatory and industry requirements.\nSupport design reviews, risk assessments, troubleshooting activities, and product qualification efforts.\nReview and interpret FCC, ISED, EMC, and other applicable regulatory requirements, test standards, and certification criteria supporting global market access activities.\nGenerate technical test reports, certification documentation, and regulatory support packages.\nAnalyze test results and provide technical recommendations to product development teams.\nSupport both New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining engineering activities across all business groups.\nEvaluate products utilizing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sub-GHz, and other wireless communication technologies.\nCoordinate with global certification teams, external laboratories, and certification bodies on wireless compliance projects.\nYOU MUST HAVE:\nDemonstrated technical expertise in EMC, RF, wireless communications, electronics, or regulatory compliance developed through relevant professional experience and a proven track record of technical contributions.\nExtensive experience performing FCC and/or ISED Canada certification testing for wireless products.\nExtensive experience evaluating and testing products utilizing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other RF communication technologies.\nExperience performing RF and EMC pre-compliance testing and providing technical recommendations to product development teams.\nStrong experience performing EMC emissions and immunity testing.\nWorking knowledge of FCC Part 15, ISED RSS standards, and applicable EMC regulatory requirements.\nWorking knowledge of EMC test methods and standards, including applicable portions of the IEC 61000 series.\nExperience working within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory environment.\nKnowledge of quality systems, accreditation requirements, audit processes, risk management, and corrective action processes.\nExperience maintaining laboratory procedures, quality documentation, and technical records.\nWE VALUE:\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and personnel within an accredited EMC, RF, or regulatory compliance laboratory.\nExperience supporting FCC and ISED certification projects for wireless products.\nHands-on experience operating wireless certification test equipment and developing certification test plans.\nExperience supporting ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems and accreditation programs.\nExperience supporting UL Client Test Data Program (CTDP) requirements.\nExperience evaluating products utilizing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, Matter, sub-GHz radio technologies, or similar wireless communication platforms.\nKnowledge of FCC Part 15, FCC KDBs, and ISED RSS regulatory requirements for intentional radiators.\nKnowledge of one or more of the following standards and regulatory frameworks:IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60730 Series\nFCC Part 15, particularly Subparts B, C, and E\nISED Canada RSS Standards\nEMEA ETSI standards: Radio Equipment Directive (RED), EMC, and LVD Directives\n\nPassion for laboratory excellence, continuous improvement, technical problem solving, and regulatory compliance.\nExperience supporting product certification and global market access initiatives\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nRegularly required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb ladders.\nRegularly required to use hands and fingers, handle equipment, and reach.\nRegularly required to communicate verbally and listen
