We are focused on developing new products and continuously enhancing existing solutions to meet customer and business needs.\nYou will work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment, contributing your software engineering expertise to the development of high-quality products.\nLet’s talk about the role\nAs a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test and deliver software solutions that meet product, business and customer requirements.\nYou will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including software design, implementation, verification, debugging, documentation and ongoing product support. This is an individual contributor role with a strong focus on hands-on software development and technical problem-solving.\nLet’s talk about responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test and deliver software that meets business, product and customer requirements.\nDevelop high-quality software using C/C++ and Python.\nVerify software behaviour through manual and automated testing.\nDevelop software that interfaces with microprocessor hardware, including interrupts, DMA, SPI and I2C.\nContribute to BLE semiconductor bare-metal software development.\nDevelop and support software within embedded Linux and RTOS environments.\nAnalyse, debug and resolve software and system-level issues.\nPrepare and maintain software design and technical documentation.\nSupport software throughout the full product lifecycle, from development and verification through release and ongoing support.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated builds and testing practices.\nDeliver high-quality software within agreed timelines.\nCollaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.\nWork independently, managing assigned tasks, priorities and timelines effectively.\nLet’s talk about qualifications and experience\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nMinimum of 2+years of relevant software development experience.\nStrong programming proficiency in C/C++.\nWorking proficiency in Python.\nStrong understanding of microprocessor hardware operations, including interrupts, DMA, SPI and I2C.\nExperience with BLE semiconductor bare-metal software development.\nHands-on experience with embedded Linux and RTOS.\nExperience in software design, development, debugging and testing.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred\nExperience supporting software through the full product development lifecycle.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build, integration and testing processes.\nDevelopment experience using Arduino and Raspberry Pi.\nExperience in software development within a regulated industry or Quality Management System environment.\nKnowledge or experience working with integrated optical sensors.\nFamiliarity with software configuration management, version control and code-review practices.\nExperience working within cross-functional product development teams.\nWhy join Resmed?\nAt Resmed, you will have the opportunity to use your software engineering expertise to contribute to meaningful product development.
