You'll support the product through requirements development, design changes, verification, risk management and regulatory activities, helping ensure it meets the needs of customers, clinicians and patients across different regions.\nWhat You'll Do\nTranslate user, clinical, business and regulatory needs into clear system requirements and technical solutions to support global product deployment.\nDevelop, maintain and manage system requirements, including requirements traceability and technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.\nCollaborate with software, electronics, mechanical, verification, clinical and regulatory teams to support product changes and system integration.\nAssess regional and market-specific requirements, identifying necessary product adaptations to support international releases.\nEvaluate system architecture, interfaces and technical design options to ensure compatibility, functionality, performance and reliability.\nInvestigate and resolve system-level technical issues, working across engineering disciplines to identify effective solutions.\nSupport system verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, results analysis and documentation.\nParticipate in system risk management activities, including risk assessments, hazard analyses and design reviews.\nContribute to technical documentation and design evidence required for regulatory submissions and international product releases.\nFollow established Systems Engineering processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat You Bring\nA Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Software, Mechatronics or a related field.\nA minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally in systems engineering or product development.\nA sound understanding of engineering principles, systems thinking and structured problem-solving approaches.\nExperience working with technical requirements, system interfaces, design documentation or verification activities.\nStrong analytical skills and a methodical approach to investigating and resolving technical challenges.\nClear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.\nAn ability to work independently on assigned engineering activities while seeking guidance when appropriate.\nAn interest in developing knowledge of medical device regulations, quality systems and product development processes.\nNice to Have\nExperience in medical device development or another regulated industry.\nExperience with engineering development tools such as JIRA, Jama, Confluence or similar platforms.\nExperience working with integrated hardware and software systems.\nFamiliarity with medical device standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971 or IEC 60601\nWhat Sets You Apart\nSystems Thinking: Understand how requirements, hardware, software and system interfaces interact to deliver reliable product performance.\nCollaborative Approach: Build productive relationships and contribute effectively to cross-functional engineering discussions.\nQuality Focus: Demonstrate attention to detail in engineering documentation, verification and risk management activities.\n Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, product quality and ways of working.\nWhy Join ResMed\nAt ResMed, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the global expansion of innovative sleep therapy technology, helping make advanced clinical solutions available to more healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.\nYou'll gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, work alongside experienced engineers and collaborate across Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality and Manufacturing teams.\nThis is an opportunity to develop your systems engineering expertise while making a meaningful contribution to products that help people sleep, breathe and live better lives.\nJoining us is more than saying “yes” to making the world a healthier place.
