Take technical specifications and implement them as working software and firmware features for PIC64-HPSC and related multi-core SoC platforms.\n\n- Develop and debug Linux/RTOS drivers, platform/debug tools, boot software, and related embedded software needed to deliver assigned features.\n\n- Deliver reviewed and tested feature changes, including unit/integration testing as appropriate, and integrate completed work into the main branch.\n\n- Collaborate with the software team to clarify requirements, review technical documents, resolve implementation questions, and ensure delivered features meet the intended specification.\n\n- Create and update documentation for delivered components, including specifications, design notes, user guides, release notes, and other handoff material needed by internal teams.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\n- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.\n\n- 5+ years of related work experience in Software development for embedded systems.\n\n- Solid working knowledge of C and Python.\n\n- Experience with software development tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jira and VSCode.\n\n- Experience working in a Linux development environment.\n\n- Experience using Claude Code, GitHub CoPilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools is required.\n\n- Understanding of CPU architectures, caches, interconnects, and peripherals, and an ability to comprehend hardware documentation.\n\n- Knowledge of RISC-V and those open-source specifications is an asset.\n\n- Demonstrated experience developing high-quality code.\n\n- Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS environments, device drivers, or board support packages.\n\n- Experience using Bitbucket/GitHub and the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence).\n\n- Experience working with a lab environment for test execution and debug.\n\n- Experience working with the QEMU emulator for embedded software development, test execution, or debug would be helpful.\n\n- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.\n\n- Strong interpersonal skills, and experience as part of a collaborative development
