associates to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse\n\nDevelops and implements shipping work schedules and assignments to ensure efficient operation\n\nApplies sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, coaching, and disciplining employees\n\nCompletes and conducts performance reviews\n\nDirects and supervises all outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion\n\nTours the warehouse regularly to answer questions, evaluate operations, and solve problems\n\nMakes recommendations to the Manager of Distribution and Material on programs to improve warehouse operations\n\nAllocates equipment so that it is utilized in the most efficient manner\n\nCoordinates with maintenance to ensure that a sound maintenance program is implemented\n\nInteracts with other departmental management to achieve goals\n\nAttends warehouse planning meetings\n\nEnsures that all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained\n\nReviews operating goals and standards and monitors achievement\n\nReviews warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat and well organized and that damage to product, equipment, and the facility is prevented\n\nEnsures that all safety procedures and policies are followed\n\nOperates in compliance with OSHA and other appropriate standards\n\nEnsures proper stock rotation\n\nAssists in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts as required\n\nAssists in developing and maintaining the operational budget as required\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned\n\nQualifications\n(Education/Training, Experience, and Certifications)\nCollege degree preferred\n\nFive years of experience required, including 1+ year of leadership responsibility\n\nTrainer certification is a plus\n\nMust be familiar and experienced with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n(Those necessary to perform the job competently)\nRequires demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, and communication\n\nRequires an understanding of warehousing operations\n\nFamiliarity with computer systems, warehouse systems, and computerized scanning equipment is a plus\n\nStrong emphasis on safety\n\nMust be able to handle stress caused by meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements\n\nMust be able to shift priorities easily\n\nEnvironmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort\n(Under typical positions)\nWork Environment\nIndustrial
