The successful candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of cost accounting principles as well as be detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills. If you’re passionate about innovation and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.\nResponsibilities\nHelp to track and monitor raw materials and consumables inventory\nSupport with the identification of potential excess and obsolete inventory in coordination with Supply Chain and Operations\nAid in monitoring job close variances and provide root cause analysis\nAssist in month end close process for inventory and cost of sales\nResponsible for preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, for areas such as inventory, work in process, job variances, returned material, cost of sales\nMaintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls\nPerform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested\nAssist in preparing reports required for financial audits and management as needed\nContribute in the ongoing maintenance of our ERP system to maintain accurate information and proper accounting\nDevelop process controls and documentation\nMaintain detailed and organized accounting records \nCoordinate and / or support cross-functional requirements and continuous improvement initiatives\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelors degree in Accounting Related Field or equivalent experience\n2+ years of experience in Cost Accounting work\nSound understanding of accounting principles\nAnalytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel\nSelf-directed and able to perform assignments independently; demonstrate proactive approach and is flexible with regards to change\nKnowledge of Epicor ERP systems\nAbility to multitask and prioritize workload\nPhysical Demands\nNone\nCompensation\nThe compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.
