The intern and co-op program will provide hands-on meaningful work experiences in the Lightspeed/R&D department to improve analytical, communication and program skills. Successful candidates for this role will gain valuable experience in the medical device industry which could shape career decisions and create future employment opportunities. This position will support the department, typically working as an assignee on smaller scale Design & Engineering projects or tasks related to larger scale Design & Engineering projects. If you’re passionate about innovation and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for creating and maintaining raw material inventory database.\nImplementing floor layout improvements\nExecution of general on and off laser job tasks to complete customer orders.\nPerform equipment set up, part production, and maintenance of laser workstations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School diploma or Equivalent\nAbility to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processes.\nAbility to work under minimal supervision.\nStrong communication and organizational skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings using a GD&T system.\nAbility to generate drawings and models (2D & 3D CAD) using GD&T.\nBasic knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or 13485 and/or FDA Part 820\nCompensation\nThe compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.
