This is a phenomenal opportunity to join an innovative, fast-paced organization with an employee focused culture and put their mark on something meaningful.\nOur Hudson site is looking for a Production Technician to join their team on our Weekend Days shift, scheduled Friday 10am-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-8pm.\nThis position employs an individual for the purpose of assisting the Production group in the setup and operation of equipment in a process development or limited production environment. Additional responsibilities may include but not be limited to; setup of repeat work, training other employees, performing specific preventive maintenance tasks, documenting process conditions and results, and quality reporting. From time to time as certain workload conditions develop, it may become necessary for this individual to temporarily assume the role of Laser Operator.\nResponsibilities\nRoutine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards and practice, requiring the use of good judgment\nUtilize various pieces of industrial machinery to complete optical and software setup of production level laser machining jobs to prescribed conditions\nBe resourceful and adaptive with the ability to find ways around obstacles or develop new approaches and/or methods\nSupport Production Start-up Activities through Documentation Generation, Equipment Investigations, Maintenance needs and Job Safety Assessments.\nTake ownership of all assigned activities while insuring that quality remains a high priority\nInitiate process change or machine service requests\nPerform simple to complex part inspections\nAnalyze and document data and procedures\nOperate laser systems per procedure or through instruction under a variety of conditions\nTrain other employees to processing conditions and requirements.\nProvide process demonstrations to clients\nProvide assistance and troubleshooting for production issues.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School diploma or Equivalent.\n5 years of relevant experience in the operation and setup of optic or laser equipment.\nAbility to quickly and positively adapt to changing priorities and processes.\nStrong communication and organizational skills\nMechanical and analytical aptitude.\nAbility to exercise independent judgment within primary job functions.\nExperience in programming G code or similar languages\nAbility to work unsupervised and be self-motivated\nStrong math skills are necessary for this position as well as ability to read blueprints.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociates level technical training\nCompensation\nThe compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.
