This role will be responsible for demonstrating process feasibility and meeting quality specifications on Lightspeed ADL projects. Assist in transitioning Lightspeed ADL projects to production in a small team and collaborative environment. If you’re passionate about innovation and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.\nResponsibilities\nDefine, plan and complete Lightspeed ADL projects\nPerform complex set up and process development on laser workstations \nProvide technical skill training to laser operators, Application Development Technicians, and Application Development Engineers\nLead the successful transition of Lightspeed ADL projects to production \nSupport the Site Director in solving on-going production issues\nSupport Sales through the completion of project routing for quotes \nGenerate and update setup sheets, work instructions, and CAPAs as required\nTake ownership of assigned tasks and work across departments as required \nLead cross departmental teams in continuous improvement projects \nMentor and guide other technical staff to optimized solutions\nParticipate in sales support activities including sales presentations, customer visits, and technical seminars \nConduct background literature searches on relevant technical topics of interest and provide summaries \nMonitor other Applications Development Engineers and Technicians in the Lightspeed ADL group for technical effectiveness and offer assistance when necessary\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor of Science degree in an engineering/science or equivalent experience \nExperience with industrial laser such as excimer, CO2, DPSS, ultrafast and beam deliveries \nBasic understanding of laser-material interaction for a specific application (i.e. laser welding, excimer laser- polymer, etc.) and how to apply that understanding \nAbility to generate machine motion control programs (i.e. G-Code) \nFamiliarity with ISO Quality Systems particularly in medical device manufacturing\nAbility to create and troubleshoot programs for inspection devices and other auxiliary equipment\nAbility to generate drawings and models (2D & 3D CAD) using GD&T\nAbility to present and convey complex engineering ideas to internal and external customers \nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings using a GD&T system \nAbility to create job related documentation for quality purposes \nProficient with the use of optical inspection equipment. This may be defined as a magnifier, microscope, and/or equipment used for measuring capacity \nProficient with using multiple axis motion controllers \nAbility to quickly and positively adapt to changing priorities and processes \nStrong communication and organizational skills\nAbility to work under minimal supervision\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with ISO Quality Systems particularly in medical device manufacturing\nPhysical Demands\nStanding and walking for short periods of time\nAbility to use a microscope, including manipulating small object under a microscope\nCompensation\nThe compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $78,000-$124,000.\nFor temp, temp-to-hire, and regular full-time positions, our company policy is that we are unable to provide visa or TN sponsorship.
