Our team is driven by the opportunity to make a real impact on communities and ecosystems through adaptive, sustainable engineering practices.\nTEAM INTERACTION: You’ll be supported by experienced mentors, and your work will directly contribute to restoring natural habitats, improving water quality, and enhancing resilience to flooding and coastal challenges.\nA Day in the Life\nAs an Engineer I, your typical day will be a blend of technical collaboration and hands-on project support. You’ll:\nCollaborate closely with Senior Engineers and other team members to develop designs for ecological restoration, stormwater systems, and erosion & sediment control.\nUse state-of-the-art software like AutoCAD, FlowMaster, HEC-RAS, and GIS to help create and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models.\nWrite technical reports and meticulously collect and organize data to support your team’s projects.\nParticipate in fieldwork to gather critical site data and perform site reconnaissance and assessments.\nConduct field visits to assess project sites and observe construction progress, connecting your designs to real-world implementation.\nCommunicating with clients, project stakeholders, and permitting agencies to achieve project goals.\nPlease note that this is not an exhaustive list of your job duties.\nWe would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:\nB.S. in civil, environmental, water resources, or natural resources engineering (or a related field).\nEIT eligible\nPrevious industry-related internship\nUnderstanding of watershed hydrology fundamentals\nBasic Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Hydrologic & Hydraulic Modeling\nFundamental Civil/Environmental Engineering Concepts \nExperience in Reading and Interpreting Plans\nBasic Experience in Technical Report Writing and Documentation\nField techniques (XS, Long pro, survey) and site assessment\nPlease note that the “Day in the Life” section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of job duties, but rather a representative snapshot of typical responsibilities and work experiences at RES.\nRES is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
