Our mission is to deliver exceptional management and technology solutions supporting the protection and preservation of the people and environment of the United States of America.\nRMC is hiring for Network Administrator to support our customer at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah. This full-time, on-site position is contingent upon contract award or position availability.\nThe Network Administrator will assist the customer with maintaining reliable, secure and efficient data communications networks by deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.\nSome of the tasks the contractor will be required to perform are, but not limited to:\nFully support, configure, maintain and upgrade networks and in-house servers. \nMonitor and implement needed network hardware and software updates.\nMonitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency) testing for weaknesses and implementing improvement for network performance.\nCollaborate with onsite users and alternate locations to ensure network connectivity and security; Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.\nResearch and make recommendations on server system administration.\nMonitor network and system health by utilizing tools such as Solar Winds and SCCM\nWork with DISA to ensure data links are working and transmitting data to outside partners.\nConfigure and deploy network builds for current and new locations. This includes configuring servers, routers, switches, and other hardware to meet the objectives set out by the customer.\nWork with vendors as needed to troubleshoot, upgrade, and replace server or network hardware; Support and administer third-party applications.\nUtilize vCenter to troubleshoot, upgrade, and monitor virtual servers and work stations.\nCreate and maintain user and technical documentation.\nWork alongside government technical team to ensure NIPR and SIPR are updated and working efficiently for users.\nProvide resolutions for tickets submitted using SharePoint and coach end users on ticket submission. \nRequirements\nApplicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, Software Engineering, or related field.\nMust be able to obtain a Security+ certificate or equivalent within 3 months of hire.\nMust be able to obtain a Cisco CCNA, Network+ or equivalent certification within 3 months of hire.\nSecurity Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. \nThe applicant must demonstrate 3-5 years previous job experience and demonstrate competency in the following areas:\nComputer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.\nRisk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).\nNational and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.\nCloud computing service models Software as Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Deployment of models in private, public, and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments.\nCommunication methods, principles, and concepts (e.g., crypto, dual hubs, time multiplexers) that support the network infrastructure.\nCapabilities and applications of network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, and related hardware.\nCybersecurity principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data.\nTelecommunications concepts (e.g., Routing Algorithms, Fiber Optics Systems Link Budgeting, Add/Drop Multiplexers).\nAnalyzing network traffic capacity and performance characteristics, along with establishing a routing schema.\nInstalling, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN and WAN components such as routers, hubs, and switches.\nConcepts, terminology, and operations of a wide range of communications media (computer and telephone networks, satellite, fiber, wireless).\nNetwork communication (e.g., LAN, WAN, MAN, WLAN, WWAN) and securing those communications.\nBenefits\nAt RMC, we're committed to your career growth!
