The selected applicant will act as a subject matter expert on a variety of assigned complex radar systems and associated equipment.\nThe selected applicant will provide technical support for a variety of complex radar systems including, but not limited to:\n Providing sound technical guidance on recommendations to senior leaders and maintenance technicians.\n Preparing written reports, briefings, and recommendations\n Accurately determining system conditions through extensive test measurement and analysis.\n Developing evaluation test objectives based on user requirements and system capabilities/limitations.\n Supporting the squadron and the commander in various areas of program/project development, planning, and evaluation.\n Organizing radar evaluations, setting objectives, and assisting in establishing standards of performance to meet mission requirements.\n Coordinating directly with the team on recommendations for acquisition and modifications.\n Accurately documenting equipment condition, performance, system interface, and project status.\n Collecting and analyzing data from a variety of radar systems and data processors.\n Effectively applying knowledge of radar analysis technologies and testing in maintaining, analyzing, and directing restoration of radar performance to optimal levels.\n Clearly expressing radar data analysis, concepts, ideas, and results to management. \n Conducting formal and informal training on equipment, components, and procedures to include developing, producing, teaching, and evaluating all course curricula.\n Technically managing all personnel dedicated to an assigned program or project.\n Requirements\n Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance required. The applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\n Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, AND eight (8) years of radar systems engineering experience; OR \nAn Associate's degree in a related technical discipline, AND sixteen (16) years working with a variety of complex radar systems and associated equipment, including seven (7) years performing radar evaluations, may be substituted.\nThe applicant must demonstrate competency in the following areas:\nKnowledge of a wide range of electronics and ground radar equipment operations, techniques, practices, repair, evaluation, and analysis. Knowledge of long-range radar data collection and performance analyses.\nKnowledge of moderate computer programming and use of various programs, spreadsheets, and database systems for data collection and analysis.\nKnowledge of moderate statistical and mathematical modeling with application towards data analysis and evaluation of sensors.\nSkill in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, bulletins, technical manuals, and specifications related to radar systems and associated equipment.\nAbility to test and evaluate the capabilities of ground radar equipment, facilities, and special sensor systems.\nAbility to identify operational deficiencies of ground radar equipment and sensor systems through various methods, including automated technologies to recommend corrective action.\nExtensive overall knowledge of the impact of man-made obstructions, wind turbines, and large wind farms on FAA, DoD, and DHS long-range, short-range, and beacon radar systems and extensive specific knowledge of the impact of wind turbines and large wind farms have on long-range radar systems.\nBenefits\nAt RMC, we're committed to your career growth!
