(RMC) is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our Navy customer in Port Hueneme, CA. This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing enterprise IT systems that support mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) operations. The ideal candidate brings a proactive approach to system reliability, cybersecurity compliance, and end-user support in a dynamic operational environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including workstations, file servers, and web servers.\nAdminister user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with DoD security requirements.\nPerform system upgrades, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.\nMonitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity, system functionality, and cybersecurity incidents.\nImplement and manage security tools such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.\nEnsure system configurations remain compliant with DoD cybersecurity policies and Cyber Workforce (CWF) requirements.\nDevelop, maintain, and update system documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides.\nProvide responsive, customer-focused technical support and training to end users.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and project-based IT initiatives.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in systems administration or a related IT discipline.\nActive DoD Top Secret clearance (T5) investigation eligibility required at time of hire.\nDoD 8570/8140 compliant IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent) required prior to start.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Navy or other DoD environments.\nHands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems in enterprise environments.\nFamiliarity with network management, virtualization, and cybersecurity best practices.\nStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.\nAbility to operate effectively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment.\nBenefits\nAt RMC, we're committed to your career growth!
