This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a growing North American engineering consulting firm while working alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects.\nAs part of RESPEC's Mining and Energy Market Sector, Student interns will contribute to real-world projects and gain exposure to the delivery of professional consulting services. Through mentorship and coaching from our experienced team members, interns will develop skills in mining engineering, CAD design, Resource / Reserve modeling, and more. Interns will also have opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to clients, project sites, and the communities we serve.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAssist in projects that involve geologic and reserve modeling\nPerform annual mine sequencing for operations\nAssist in preparing technical documents, AutoCAD drawings, and project deliverables\nJoin site visits (project dependent) alongside senior engineers\nOther duties as assigned\n Required:\nMust be working toward a Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Mining Engineering or a related field\nSophomore standing or higher\nPreferred:\nStrong computer skills, experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS Pro, Carlson Software, Geovia Surpac, and the Microsoft Suite\nSolid time management skills and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in an efficient manner\nWorking knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering concepts\nStrong problem-solving skills\nAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing\nMust possess a driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record\n Compensation: Hourly wage depends on education and experience.
