You will play a crucial role in driving innovation, product design, ensuring project success, and mentoring junior engineers to help them grow their skills.\nSalary range: $85,000-$105,000 per year, depending on experience.\nFull time, exempt position, on-site in our Carrollton TX office.\nWhat you'll do\nDesign, develop, test, and implement embedded electrical systems for robot components.\nContribute directly to design projects, demonstrating expert-level proficiency.\nLead the development and maintenance of common electrical parts libraries for design software and integration with ERP systems.\nActively participate in product line ecosystem architecture decisions from an electrical system perspective.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.\nConduct comprehensive design reviews to ensure the functionality, performance, safety, and manufacturability of electrical designs.\nCollaborate with external electrical design partners and manage their contributions effectively.\nParticipate in the resolution of customer technical issues, leveraging your expertise to support the customer support team.\nDemonstrate proficiency in electrical circuit validation and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and data acquisition equipment.\nMaintain a strong understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices in electrical engineering.\nQualifications - MUST HAVE\n3+ motor controller development for both sensor and sensorless architecture \n1+ years doing ESP32 development\n3-5 years of experience in an electrical engineering role, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.\nElectrical design experience with digital circuits, switching regulators, USB, CAN/CAN-FD, serial interfaces, digital/analog sensors\nDemonstrated experience in embedded software development, including ARM-based microcontrollers and their closely tied software and electrical peripheral interactions\nBoard bring-up experience, and root cause analysis \nProficient in Altium, LTspice, STM CubeMX/IDE\nV&V documentation development\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nBasic embedded C/C++ development\nEMI and EMC compliance and debug\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.\nQualifications - NICE TO HAVE\nExperience mentoring or leading junior engineers.\nHands-on experience with FIRST® and its robotics programs.\nExperience with overseas PCB manufacturing and factory acceptance testing.\nElectrical design experience with Ethernet, and other high-spec embedded system integration.\nTest fixture development experience\nGit/Github experience\nWhat we offer\nBenefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching and others.\nSmall, friendly office.\nFully stocked break room with snacks and beverages.\nCasual office attire.\nNine paid holidays plus a floating holiday of 8 hours.\nPTO that starts accruing from day one of employment.\nIt is the policy of REV Robotics to provide equal employment opportunity to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, FIRSTteam affiliation, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, opinion on bumpers on FRC robots, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
