This role focuses on performing various analyses and design for renewable energy power systems, including grounding design, short-circuit, load-flow, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies for solar, battery energy storage, and renewable substation facilities. This role directly contributes to collection system design and overall project execution.\nThis role contributes to Revamp’s mission of accelerating the clean energy transition by delivering accurate, high-quality engineering analyses and supporting the safe, reliable integration of solar PV and battery energy storage systems into the grid, while developing technical expertise under the guidance of senior engineers\nDuties & Responsibilities\nCore Technical & Functional Responsibilities\nPerform power systems studies including but not limited to Grounding studies, short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protective device coordination, ampacity, harmonic, and power quality analysis.\nBuild and maintain system models for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and collection system configurations.\nSize and route medium voltage collection system cable under established design criteria.\nPrepare study reports, calculation packages, and support project documentation.\nAutomate repetitive calculation and data handling tasks to improve study turnaround.\nPerform studies for utility-scale generation and interconnection facilities.\nQuality, Standards & Compliance\nFollow IEEE, NESC, NEC, and applicable utility grounding requirements on all assigned studies.\nCheck calculations and model data against QA/QC procedures before submitting work for review.\nComply with company, industry, and jurisdictional safety standards and practices.\nCollaboration & Communication\nApply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.\nWork under the direction of more senior staff.\nPresent study findings and open technical questions in internal project meetings.\nSupport senior engineers in client and utility discussions on grounding scope and results.\nShare study methods, templates, and lessons learned with other engineers on the team.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nPerform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.\nPerform additional related duties as assigned or directed.\nExperience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities\nRequired\nBachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.\nFoundational understanding of power systems concepts, such as grounding design or renewable energy systems.\nWorking knowledge of one or more power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, or PSLF.\nExperience in power distribution, generation, transmission, solar PV, or energy storage environments.\nAdvanced English proficiency (approximately IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+, or PTE 76+), sufficient to draft technical reports and collaborate with US-based teams.\nAvailability to work Monday through Friday, approximately 3 PM to 11 PM IST.\nKnowledge of power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF, or similar is desirable.\nExposure to solar PV, battery energy storage, wind, microgrid, or other renewable energy systems.\nPreferred\n Experience with Python or a similar language for calculation and reporting automation.\n Exposure to CDEGS, PSS/E and/or PSCAD. \n EIT Certificate is desirable but not required. \n Benefits & Perks (India)\nComprehensive “diamond-tier” health and wellness coverage for employees and eligible family members, including hospitalization, maternity, mental health support, annual health checkups, and extensive OPD, dental, and vision benefits.\nAccident and disability insurance.\nParticipation in Revamp’s International Long Term Incentive Plan (ILTIP) allowing you to earn equity over time based on Revamp’s performance.\nAttractive vacation, sick, and holiday pay.\nPaid parental leave.\nLife insurance.\nAbout Revamp\nFounded in 2016, Revamp is the premier employee-owned engineering design firm dedicated to advancing large-scale renewable energy projects.
