You will apply sound engineering judgment to complex technical questions, clearly communicate trade-offs, and help partners make confident decisions that advance real projects and a cleaner energy future. At this level, you will independently lead multiple projects or significant portions of complex assignments, own defined scope, schedule, and budget commitments, and represent the work in client and project meetings. You will receive guidance when necessary on unconventional or complex problems while directing and mentoring less-experienced engineers. The role is purpose-built, impact-driven, and grounded in transparent collaboration.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nPerform and lead system studies including but not limited to protective device coordination and the following explorations: short circuit, arc flash, load flows, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality. \nDesign collection systems, including cable routing and cable sizing. \nCreate equipment specifications for and apply knowledge of renewable energy systems including PV solar modules, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transformers, cable management systems, and balance-of-system (BOS). \nWrite reports and make presentations describing studies performed, solutions developed, and value obtained. \nEnsure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes. \nLead multiple projects of varying complexity. \nEvaluate, select, and apply standard procedures, and criteria. \nPrepare project documentation. \nSupport client interaction for multiple projects. \nAssign tasks to and direct less experienced team members to complete assignments. \nAssist with proposals to provide professional services. \nProvide mentoring for staff engineers. \nAttend project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments with high proficiency and confidence. \nReceives guidance, when necessary, on unconventional or complex problems, direction on modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. \nReceives a review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment. \nPerform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines. \nPerform additional duties as assigned or directed. \nExperience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nBachelor’s degree or greater in Electrical Engineering or similar. \nEIT Certificate or PE Licensure is desirable. \n5+ years of experience in power systems analysis. \nAdvanced knowledge of power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF or similar. \nStrong knowledge of power distribution, transmission, solar PV systems or energy storage systems is desirable. \nExperience applying Python or similar programming languages for process automation is desirable. \nExperience working with different vendor provided dynamic models is preferred. \nAbility to identify and solve complex problems. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to be both creative and analytical. \nDetail-oriented and accurate. \nEfficient time management - handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines. \nBenefits for Full-Time Positions:\nCompetitive compensation with bonus. \nFull benefits package including 99% employer-paid health, vision, life, and dental insurance. \nMedical, dependent care, and commuter FSA. \nMonthly health and wellness stipend. \nAttractive vacation, sick, and holiday pay. \nPaid parental leave. \n401(k) savings plan with 100% match up to 6%, vested immediately. \nProfit-sharing. \nPaid volunteer time off and charitable donation matching. \nDisclaimers\nEmployment with Revamp Engineering Inc. may be subject to background checks that are permitted by applicable law and relevant to the position.
