Many customers run Revel in their own facilities, and some of those sites are fully air-gapped. An upgrade that fails, a permission that’s too broad, or an admin task that needs a Revel engineer on site is a real cost to them.\nThe platform spans access and administration, our APIs and SDKs, and our fleet manager to handle deployments and upgrades. You’ll own it from strategy through launch, and decide what the platform should do next.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn access and administration: SSO, role-based access control, admin tooling, user preferences, and system health. Make Revel easy to pass through a security review and easy for customer IT to manage\n\nSet the strategy for our APIs and SDKs: what we expose, how we version it, and what we commit to supporting\n\nPartner directly with platform engineering on the big architectural choices, and own the product side of multitenancy, scale, and reliability tradeoffs\n\nRun discovery with customer administrators, IT and security teams, and our forward deployed engineers to find where operating Revel costs the most time today\n\nOwn the deployment and upgrade experience end to end, from connected installs to fully offline sites, so customer administrators and our field engineers can upgrade safely and smoothly\n\nDefine and track the metrics that show whether the platform is working, such as upgrade success rate, time to upgrade, time to onboard a new organization, and support load per installation\n\nWho You Are\nYou treat an API as a product with users, not an implementation detail\n\nYou don’t need fully defined requirements to start. You go deep on discovery, form a hypothesis, and get your hands dirty executing it\n\nYou work comfortably across engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executives, and you can explain technical tradeoffs to each of them\n\nYou have strong product judgment. You don’t just ship fast- you have a high bar for quality and take pride in delivering a well-rounded product experience to users. you’re comfortable making mistakes, and you take feedback seriously\n\nMust-Haves\n5+ years of product management experience\n\nExperience owning a platform, infrastructure, or enterprise product, such as deployment tooling, identity and access, admin experiences, or developer platforms\n\nStrong technical fluency; you can work through architecture and tradeoffs with engineers and write them down clearly\n\nExperience shipping products whose users include administrators, IT, or security teams\n\nPlusses\nPrevious experience as a software engineer\n\nExperience shipping software for on-premise or air-gapped environments\n\nExperience with identity and access standards such as SAML, OIDC, or SCIM\n\nExperience designing or managing public APIs and SDKs\n\nExperience in aerospace, defense, energy, or another regulated or safety-critical domain\n\nTeam & Exposure\nYou’ll work alongside the engineers building our deployment, infrastructure, and runtime systems, and collaborate closely with design, front-end engineering, and our field deployment engineers who work directly with customers. You’ll have direct exposure to the Head of Product and CEO.
