The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their product category incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales, Product Marketing, and other sources. This position leads the dialogue with Sales and Product Marketing in analyzing the business to understand our customer, manage inventory levels, and strategize ways to create new demand. The Demand Planner also works closely with Production Planning and the rest of the Supply Chain functions, as well as Product Development and FP&A.\nThis position reports to the Sr. Manager, Demand Planning and is based out of our Irvine, CA location.\nAs the Demand Planner, you will have an opportunity to:\nSeasonal Forecast Collection\nWork with regions to compile future global demand using historical trends and regional input.\nThe forecast will continue to evolve as a season moves closer to market and more inputs are available in the demand process. The Demand Planner owns all stages of this forecast for a given season, and works with Sales, Product Marketing, and regional representatives to keep the most accurate forecast.\nSalesman Sample Buys\nOwn all aspects of SMS buys\nBuild buy templates\nCollect needs from all regions\nSubmit results to production planning team\nProduction Buys\nSplit seasonal demand into production buys based on timing needs from sales, and production schedule previously determined with the Production Planning team.\nPrepare buy approval templates at each production buy for sign off from Executive team prior to purchase.\nRolling Forecast Maintenance\nUpdate the rolling forecast for assigned product category monthly\nValidate information and help call out any trends to Demand Planning Manager.\nOther Items as Needed to Support Department\nUpdate detailed forecasting tools weekly\nBuild and update discontinued inventory reports and distribute to regions\nLook for opportunities to share inventory across global warehouses to support needs, recommend inventory transfers amongst regions as necessary.\nIdentify sales and inventory level trends that are concerning, work with relevant parties to resolve.\nBuild slow moving inventory reports and work with sales to address.\nConduct SKU analysis to create line architecture targets for the Product Marketing team each season.\nYou have:\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required\n2+ years Demand Planning experience required, apparel industry experience a plus\nThorough knowledge of Excel, database and SAP experience a plus\nProven ability to build cross-functional relationships and collaborations\n\nPay Range:\nAnnual Salary: $83,000.00 - $88,000.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.\nWe offer a highly competitive salary, comprehensive benefits including: medical and dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, gear discounts and the ability to add value to an exciting mission!\nOur Postings are not intended for distribution to or use in any jurisdiction, country or territory where such distribution or use would violate local law or would subject us to any regulations in another jurisdiction, country or territory.
