This position reports to the warehouse supervisor.\nEssential Functions of this Role:\nThe essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nOperate electric pallet jack.\nCompile and maintain various daily, weekly, and monthly reports.\nCoordinate with in-house sales team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers.\nAssist in maintaining logistics planning tasks.\nPerform computer lookup/inquiries to determine product location and/or description\nStage material in proper location for shipment\nAttention to detail and ability to follow directions to meet deadlines\nFollows all safety and security procedures\nProcess freight documents and provide outstanding customer service.\nProcess all shipments via TL and LTL with High Jump, and/or any other shipping software.\nValidate physical shipment attributes on all required export documentation.\nMaintain and document departmental processes and procedures as necessary to reflect the current process accurately.\nCommunicate proactively with customers and their freight forwarders as required to facilitate transportation booking and shipping. This includes providing routing request instructions and tracking information to customers, freight forwarders, carriers, and other transportation intermediaries.\nCommunicate with transportation companies as required to arrange for transportation and to track shipments as required.\nMeet or exceed accuracy and productivity expectations.\nAssist in other departments of the warehouse, as necessary.\nPrepare orders by ensuring that correct product/s and quantities are picked and prepared for shipment.\nPack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary.\nMatch invoices to shipping labels.\nWork Environment:\nMust be able to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations.\nDue to forklifts and other equipment traveling through the warehouse the environment can be noisy, dusty, may emit gas fumes, and create excessive vibrations.\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to move around in a large, fast-paced warehouse for 8 or more hours.\nRequires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75lbs frequently.\nProlonged periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces.\nRequires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.\nRequires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.\nTeam lift - carry, push or pull up to 100lbs frequently.\nExpected Hours of Work:\nMust be available during standard operating hours, Monday through Friday\nStart and end times may vary due to operational need.\nRemaining flexible with working schedules is required, to include working overtime, evenings, and weekends as there may be an occasional adjustment to meet the business needs.\nRequired Education, Experience and Skills:\nMust have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for business and safety purposes.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\n1 to 2 years of related experience and/or education\nForklift certification or able to successfully certify forklift operation, training provided on-site.\nMust be a quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges.\nPositive attitude - work as part of a team and/or independently\nEstablish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with people in different functions.\nActive listening skills\nBasic math, reading, and voice comprehension is a must.\nAbility to read packs, order labels, other information and match visible items and other data.\nMaintain regular attendance.\nAbility and disposition to carry out instructions furnished in written, or diagram form.\nMust be able interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to calculate mathematical values.\nMust have a working knowledge of Internet software usage, order processing systems, inventory software, and word processing software.\nMust be knowledgeable in warehousing procedures.\nPreferred Education, Experience and Skills:\nReliable transportation\nPrevious knowledge of replenishment and RF equipment a plus\nPrevious receiving experience preferred.\nBasic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification, warehouse procedures, and storage areas to pull stock and materials.\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications:\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
