This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast paced multi-brand environment.\nThis position reports to theGlobal Accounting Manager, and based in our Carlsbad California office.\nAs the Senior Accountant, you will have an opportunity to:\nPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations and documentation in support of the month end close.\nAnalyze financial results and investigate variances to forecast or trends\nSupport improvements and standardization to the close process\nContribute to consistent application of accounting guidance and company accounting policies across all brands. Improve and standardize accounting and process documentation.\nEnsure compliance with internal controls, company policies and relevant accounting standards.\nEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP.\nSupport internal and external audits.\nPerform and support other general accounting activities or projects as directed\nYou have:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting.\nStrong knowledge of accounting processes and US GAAP.\n5+ years’ progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a CPG or similar industry.\nExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Netsuite.\nAbility to work in a complex organization having multiple business units, brands and ERP systems.\nStrong analytical, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support cross-functional teams\nExperience with global entities, intercompany accounting and foreign currency\nDemonstrated talent for improving processes and a mindset for continuous improvement.\nStrong work ethic, a sense of urgency and unquestioned integrity.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).\nAbility to work on site in our Carlsbad CA offices at least 4 days per week.\nYou might have:\nCertified Public Accountant license\nMBA degree\nPay Range:\nAnnual Salary: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.\nWe offer a highly competitive salary, comprehensive benefits including: medical and dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, gear discounts and the ability to add value to an exciting mission!\nOur Postings are not intended for distribution to or use in any jurisdiction, country or territory where such distribution or use would violate local law or would subject us to any regulations in another jurisdiction, country or territory.
