Our culture values ownership, clear communication, and process excellence.\nWhat we are looking for:\nWe are seeking an Underwriter to review, research, analyze, and price deals of $1M or greater in gross annual revenue. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency with spreadsheet software like Excel, and solid communication abilities to translate complex financial information for management and clients.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for reviewing and pricing a full range of deals, including $1M+ in gross annual revenue, considering affordability, credit, and numerous risk factors;\nAdd required stipulations as appropriate;\nCommunicate with sales reps regarding adjustments to pricing and required steps;\nDiscuss and update on the competitive landscape both in terms of pricing and commissions;\nAttend all credit committee meetings and provide insight and opinion regarding the viability of a deal;\nTrain and support Underwriters.\nReview pricing and evaluation strategies, including deal grading and industry-specific details;\nPerform final review for funding, including review of all documents, research, and bank activity, as directed;\nParticipate in quarterly performance reviews, including review of defaults;\nMay be required to perform other tasks and duties reasonably related to job responsibilities.\nExperience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nBachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or Finance preferred;\n2-4 years of consumer and/or commercial underwriting required;\nExperience with financial analysis required;\nExperience reviewing and analyzing individual and company credit reports;\nStrong analytical skills; \nSkilled at multi-tasking; able to coordinate, organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities and unexpected situations;\nFluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM is desirable; ability to manage multiple software applications; \nStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills;\nEffective verbal and written communication skills are a must;\nStrong work ethic;
