Frequency of duties, percent of time and work year may vary based on department or building assignment.\nResponsible for repair and maintenance of all plant equipment, buildings, and grounds.\nObserve mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.\nDismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.\nInspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.\nAdjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.\nRepair or replace defective parts. Work frequently in close proximity to machinery; noise levels are moderate.\nClose vision (distance of 20 inches or less) and ability to identify/distinguish colors.\nHands-on role 60-80% of the time, with mixture of desk and computer duties.\nTemperature in facility can vary up to 90 degrees.
